Getting Started with Soil Nutrient Analysis
Soil Nutrient Analysis turns Sentinel-2 satellite imagery into a detailed map of what’s actually in your topsoil: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH, organic matter, texture, and more. No probes, no lab visits, no waiting on courier. You draw a field, pick a date, and get a full report back with values for every 10×10 metre patch.
This guide walks you through the product end to end: what you get, how to place an order, how the report is structured, and where to go next.
What you get with one order
Every order is a one-off purchase (no subscription) and returns:
- 10 soil properties per cell: Total Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, pH, Soil Organic Matter, Cation Exchange Capacity, and the three texture components (Sand, Silt, Clay), plus Organic Carbon in the export files.
- 10-metre resolution across the whole field, sourced from Sentinel-2 imagery.
- A classification for every value on a five-band scale (Very Low to Very High) so you can read the map without memorising agronomic ranges.
- Up to 6 analysis dates in one order, useful for tracking change across seasons or years.
- Heatmaps, distribution charts, and a per-cell data table in an interactive web report.
- PDF, CSV, and shapefile exports for record-keeping or import into other tools.
- A shareable link that lets you send the report to an agronomist or colleague without an account.
- Optional add-ons: an AI-written interpretation of the field, and a weather snapshot for the analysis area.
How pricing works
Pricing is per hectare, calculated on the actual area of the field you submit. Recent dates (within the last year) are charged at the standard rate, older dates at a lower historical rate. See the pricing page for current rates.
Placing an order
The full flow takes a few minutes:
- Go to app.siora.ai and sign in or continue as guest.
- Define your field by drawing it on the map, uploading a shapefile (.zip), or selecting a saved field from a previous order.
- Pick one or more analysis dates (up to 6).
- Add any optional products (AI interpretation, weather report).
- Pay via Stripe. You’ll get an emailed invoice.
- The system processes the order in the background. You’ll receive an email with a direct link to the report once it’s ready.
Most orders complete within minutes, depending on field size and how many dates you requested.
What this product is not
A few things worth being upfront about:
- It’s not a replacement for a lab test if you need legally certified results for compliance or contracts. It’s a high-resolution, spatially complete picture of the field, calibrated against tens of thousands of lab samples.
- It won’t return values for fields outside Europe right now. The current model is calibrated for European soils.
- It won’t generate prescription maps or VRA files directly. The per-cell data can feed into VRA tools, but the export is data, not application maps.

Next steps
- Ordering a field covers the order map in detail: drawing rules, file formats, multi-date orders, and what to do if your field is in an edge case.
- The report walks through every tab and how to read it.
- Soil properties explains what each measured value means and how the classification thresholds work.
- Methodology covers the science: data sources, calibration, resolution, and what the model can and can’t do.
